Default Which blower?

Still saving up for a blower for my truck. Which blower would be less harsh on the tranny.
Wouldn't a centrifugal s/c be less harsh on my tranny since boost builds up as rpm's go up? Which centrifugal s/c would be the best and most reliable with no tuning issues?

Just curious what you guys think of these blowers
rate each of them from 1 to 5: 1 being the best: 5 being the worst

Radix
Procharger
Vortech
Whipple
Powerdyne
Kenne Bell
Paxton

BTW I've really been looking into the Vortech kits because I know some people with them on cobras and other f-bodys and they seem to be really reliable blowers. Have any of you guys ever ran into a Vortech supercharged 4.8 or 5.3L? How do they run, any issues? Just curious,
Also BLOWNCHEVY, can you get other s/c kits besides the Radix? Thanks a lot

Seen and driven most if not all of them.....Most of the Centrifugal blowers feel about the same, you just want to make sure whatever you decide on is intercooled! Most superchargers are going to be harsh on your trans, you may want to invest in a shift kit and some billet servos to help! Most important, ENJOY your truck!

Radix #1 BEST, but we all knew I was going to say that!

Procharger #2 Room to grow!

Paxton #3 Nice and Basic

Powerdyne #4 Nice and Basic

Vortech #5 nice and basic

Whipple #6 Needs and intercooler, and get rid of those AUX injectors, Then it would be # 2

Kenne Bell #7 Junk IMO Needs tuning (dont shoot me folks)

3,4, and 5 are all very close in quality IMO.....Good Kits, Fair price!

That would be nice! Be some extra work and $$ to get it done......What are your issues with the roots blower?

Boost all at once = tranny going and me walking 45 miles to college 3 times each week. I'm just scared of my tranny going boom and my dad bitching at me when I blow up my only mode of transportation. But then I guess I'll have to upgrade my tranny no matter what blower I decide to get so hell, I may just save up an extra grand and buy the Radix. If nothing comes up and I save up enough, I'll let you know in a few months and we can set up a deal on a Radix for me.

Yeah I hear you on the trans! I was 90 miles from home when mine blew last time!

Any way you look at it, you will need to upgrade the trans....sooner or later it will let go! Let me know if there is anything I can do for ya!

I don't drive my truck hard during daily driving. Would a tranny advertised to hold 450hp be sufficient to hold the radix for a long while.
