It all started this past friday night at a local gathering here in tx we had some little races but nothing too big so we dicided to skip all that and have so fun on my freinds Lightning its a 2001 sonic blue "L" well we started doing burnouts,drifts,2nd - 3rd rolls anything that would make the tires BBBAARRKKKK!!well i dicided to do some donuts since these babys come positive...well he tried one and came sloopy so i thought i was an expert so he went with some addvice that i told them. We started punchin it to high rev's we did 2 complete donuts....we took off BC in the distance we saw car light coming our way...we went to another private street and did some more like 4-5 complete donuts...we stoped and check the tire to see how much frying we had done to them....we tought there was enough tread for 2-3 more spins the first was cool at the end of the second one the rear end kind of locked and it made a thumping noise...u could really feel it in the cab...turns out that when we stept out of the truck there was oil spilled everywhere since we had started doing the donuts...turns out the we fried,grind and blowed out the eaton posi....we caled one of our buddy to hook us up with a wreck truck so we could of take it to his house for the nite....first thing in the morning we went to the dealer..and belive me the sale/owner of the dealer got f@kin pissed and started to tell us that the first thing they tell u when u buy a lighting is not to do donuts or long drifts since we can blow the eaton posi...well i think it was to late for that so until now we dont know what the cost and the fine he should get plus all the Sh*t from his parents and the dealer to start off with

 

FORD sucks with the Warr on the L. ANY mods and they will send you away.

wtf? When you buy an "L" they really tell you to not do donuts?
I'd be like, "**** you, don't tell me what to do in a truck I just paid $30 grand for...I'll do whatever the **** I want with it and if it breaks YOU fix it free under warranty."
If it was stock, and it breaks...the dealer should fix it if it's still under warranty...no if's and's or but's

hell the dealer modded my dads 03. and basicaly said they would kinda over look it if something happened.

 

Well it was to bad they found out NOS in some of the fuel lines

 

I hope not all eaton posi's are like that...
