Blow by at WOT
About two weeks ago I had to make a quick lane change and got on it, when I did I noticed quite a bit of "smoke/blow by" come out. Then tonight I was on the way home and got on it and noticed a haze again, I almost never ever get on it, just weird it happened to be twice in the past few weeks. I can't see any haze in the daytime, only at night when on it. Doesn't use much if any oil (change at 7500 miles and maybe uses 1/2 a quart, if that, 5W30 Valvoline or Mobil), doesn't use coolant (i've added about 1/2 gal over the 90K miles i've had it but I think that was due to a new water pump at 30K miles) Truck has 90K miles, it's a 06 5.3. The valve cover on the LHS (drivers) has a ton of gunk around the PCV. Any ideas? I only need the truck to go another 10K miles then it's trade in time.

Your mention of changing lanes reminds me of a motorcycle that a friend had me look at for smoking. Whenever you took off it smoked severely, but it smoked just as bad when you were on the brakes. Nothing at cruise or when turning. I took out about six quarts of oil and gasoline, it was supposed to hold two. A bad gas petcock and leaky carb allowed the tank to drain into the crankcase.
