Whats the biggest cam you can put with LS6 springs???? a friend of mine has a 212/218-558/563 115lsa with ls6 spings but i was wondering if you can put a bigger cam. btw this is going on a 03 ext cab silverado Z-71 with mods in sig and i will probably spray the hell out of the 5.3 to put a 6.0

just get the low lift 212/218 version of that cam. Our stock heads stop flowing around .450 lift anyways.

To answer your question though. The ls6 guys rate them at around .570 lift although there are a few guys running .600 lift cams with the stock ls6 springs

I believe that aside from the lift, the agressiveness of the ramp rate has to be taken into consideration when it comes to LS6 springs, as the don't have as much seat pressure as some of the aftermarket springs (Comp 918's for example). Lingenfelter sells cams with over .570 lift and recommends LS6 springs, but I'm not sure how agressive those lobes are. You also have to consider how high you plan to spin the motor...
