Have the issues with the ls2 block been worked out? The knock sensors is what I'm thinking was the issue.
And that it overheats due to smaller cooling passages I think? Flyer, just go with the Magic Stick (A.K.A MS3). hardened push rods. TSP's heads, $1500 for 300CFM @ .600 with PRC dual springs, a 4K converter with 4.10s, with a TH400

Why Are Yall Wanting To Go So Big With The Cam? You Lose Alot Of Torque And Gas Mileage Ya Right. These Trucks Are Not Real Lite. Imo 560 Lift And Like 228 Duration Would Be The Most I Would Do In These Trucks. Just My 2 Cent Holla At Yall Layta

I don't have a lot to loose in mileage. As it is now, I get 9-11 in the city, and 12 on a good day on the highway.

BBC, no 400, that's not very streetable. I'd have to stick with something streetable.

Yes, a MS3 is streetable, but a TH400, are you crazy! Well, I guess a built 4l60E from Team Tripp or so, Slowprocess has the 600HP one from Bernard, and he's not doing too bad .

Comp Cams XTREME XE-R XER287HR - 238/240 - .605/.609 w 1.7 rocker - 112 LSA

VHP 050-051
DUR @ .004" 298*/ 302*
DUR @ .050" 236*/ 240*
LIFT .600/.600
OVERLAP 78
LSA 112

and some double springs, didnt list when valve float occurs the vhp is a stroker cam and would probably pull well into the 7k rpm range

are you gonna stay with hydraulic lifters? Is this gonna be an everyday still

just some thoughts idle would probably have to be around 1500 Id love to see something crazy like this.

You're dropping the FI too huh bro? LOL

I'm still on the 226 cam in the Z71 and it made pretty decent power through the 80E. I won't know the final numbers till we get this stupid converter problem fixed then redyno/tune it. Gotta get the friggin thing repainted first though.

On my RCSB I'm going to do the 370ci but up the compression and go more of an N/A and nitrous setup so I'll let you know what we come up with. It won't be a real huge cam though. My guess is it won't break 228dur as I want to be able to smog the truck with this cam in it. I might even go stupid and try to use the stock exhaust system but with dual cutouts in the Y-pipe for racing. LOL

I can't wait to see what you come up with this time. I been busy mackin' on the honeys so if I miss something important you better PM me.

I Have The 216/220 Comp Cam Not Big Like You Are Looking For But Runs Real Good.like Snake Eater Said,i To Turn My Motor To 7400 That Is My Rev Limit.and I Have Hit The Limiter A Few Times.
What You Are Planing To Go With You Want To Look Into The Dual Springs.regardless On The What Rpm You Are Wanting To Shift @and If You Stay Under 600 Lift Still Go With Duals Because Of The Rpms.

If you spin a 216/220 up that high ... you're loosing so much time in the power band there. That's what Ive got in mine now and it's good for about 6600 and that's tops.
