My cam is fairly small at 214/216 but it along with my home ported and milled heads got me 13.17@102 back in cooler weather. My last trip to the track temps were in the high 80's and still pulled off a 13.31@101.

[QUOTE=Flyer]Grey, what did you run on motor? How's the drivability? That's big, but I was actually planning on going bigger still.
I always run nitrous at the track, need to get some n/a #s one of these days. Drivability is fine, it's all about the tune. It does like the gas pumps. A big cam needs a big stall to make it work well.

02, that's a HUGE split in that cam you're talkin about. I still don't see how such a large split will be to my advantage. I already have a good exhaust, really good.
I thought this was an all out NA drag only application if your looking for peak power at 7500 the cam is gonna have to be huge maybe not as big as the one I listed above, I was a little enebriated when writing that. I would love to see someone put in something like a trex or bigger.

I've got a friend who is running a 231/237 114 lunati in his 5.3. He run a best of 12.80 on motor and 11.63 on nitrous.

Tractionless, that's almost the cam I was looking at. I'm looking at TSP's 233/239 on a 113 and a set of AFR's.

Grey, that's another reason I wanna run that big *** cam in a 5.3, a tuning challenge. If I really get ambitious, I'll prolly do a SD tune on it and just ditch the MAF all together.

I will be going back to a 60e and a fat converter though.

I'd like to see an LS2 block with a 4.8L crank running AFRs, a big cam, and a 4000 stall.

Why's that? That short strock would rev to the moon.

Have the issues with the ls2 block been worked out? The knock sensors is what I'm thinking was the issue.

LPE GT-1 here. Its been a bitch to tune. But its pulling 40+lb air and I've run it up to 7300rpms with the only problem being running out of fuel on the 32# injectors. It works well with the stall, which stalls to almost 4k even.
