I love the sound, but am wondering if it'd be too loud. Like you said, it's hard to make these compromises.

Here's the muffler I have now, LINK. It has almost no resonance. BTW, my cats are gutted.

I guess Im having a ahrd time understanding why youre wanting to change your entire exhaust and possibly go to a muffler that is not going to sound how you want it when all you have to do is throw a cutout on there and it will have more lope and a meaner idle than any muffler. The corsas carry the most lope through an exhaust out of any setup Ive heard and even they dont let the cam hit as hard as an open cutout right off a y pipe.

His cam isn't going to sound how he wants with it tuned properly, that's the bottom line.

Running my exhaust wide open, my cam lopes the same amount as it does through the stock muffler. Only difference is the volume.

To achieve the sound you're wanting (I want it too), you'll probably need to go up 10 degrees on the cam.

You very well may be correct. But it really wouldn't make sense for me. I'm not going to shift any higher than 6500 and I need/want the torque. More of that compromise stuff. I'm young enough to want it, but old enough to realize it's not in my best interest to go that much bigger.

I'm not sure I'll like that open exhaust sound. It can sound cheap, if you know what I mean. Honestly though, I've never heard a cutout, but I don't imagine it to much different than just cutting off the muffler.

I say get a cutout or get a corsa. I think you would be happy with a cutout you can open her up when you want to hear it and close it when you dont.

I'm gonna use my corsa DB black muffler I already have when I do my cam swap along with OBX LT headers.

If I had a 2 piece timing cover I wouldn't mind sticking in a bigger cam, but the thought of swapping cams again makes me just want to stick with what I got.
