Look for an oil low on any sort of detergent if you change it often and high on zinc if you have no cats. That has yeilded great results for me.

Oil is oil. I work for valvoline, so I use that, if I didn't id just put mobil. But Royal Purple is bad, it loses viscosity. But as long as you have 6 quarts you're good. But as I've said on many other posts, these LS engines are champions, they'll run on anything.

i run royal purple with half a bottle of stp.
