All of the valvetrain ideas go out the window with the sewing machine sound. Bent valves/pushrods, broken rokers, failed springs, failed lifters... all pretty much make a clatter sound, not sewing machine... Sorry to say, I think it's bottom end.
Man.....don't make him cry... I know I would if this was me with the problem reading your reply!!

Well I do know that I am starting to get very frustrated with my truck. I don't really believe that it is a bearing or anything in the bottom end. The reason that I say this is I even drained my oil and found no signs of metal at all.

Well then man the only thing to do is pull the heads replace the lifters, check the springs on a tensioner, check the pushrods, and take a look at the valves. I still find it extremely wierd there isnt an SES light. Have you scanned the computer yet to see if there is a SES code in there that hasnt set a light. LIke I said before not all will set a light. But then again if it is something major enough for you to lose that kind of power you would think it would set a light. Im as confused as you are

Too bad your not down here in Houston or in the vacintity. I would tell you just to come over, and I would scan it for you. Oooppps, I would come to you and scan it for you.
Michigan a little too far and cold!
PUT IT ON A SCANNER BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE!!!!! BORROW ONE OR MAY BE A GOOD TIME TO BUY ONE!

Take a look at the little wires in the maf. They get a coating on them from the oiled filter. Starts and idles ok, big power loss, and no code. I've had this happen on 2 trucks w/ k&n filters. I cleaned the wires and fixed the problem. The wires are shiny when they're clean.
