What about putting a blower on the 6.0, if you already have it?

Negative, 8100 is completely different from mark IV, Gen 5 and 6 Big blocks.

I have both the 6.0 and the Big block, though both need to go to the machine shop before either will be ready to drop in.

if you have the budget for aluminum heads and a good intake i would go the big block route if it were mine...mainly because i've never had a big block to play with and Murica!

I already have the whole engine (468) with heads and EFI, I just need to swap the bottom end out as it has domed pistons in it and I want flat top, along with the stroker crank.

But Merica!

I’m going to be the odd man out and say big block and purely for simplicity sake. No belts, no tensioners, no worrying about IAT’s, no having to plumb intercoolers. Never towed with a blown LS but have with a big block and the torque is the closest to a diesel I’ve ever experienced. Plus ‘Murica.

If your block is already a 468, why add the parts to make it bigger? I can’t imagine a scenario where a 468 doesn’t produce enough towing power.

Well, I need to go into the bottom end to change the pistons. Dome to flat top, so I can run 87. The motor came out of my chevelle and was in there when I bought it and I dont know really anything about the bottom end, except when I changed heads I saw they had small domes. Talking to the guy Im getting the cam and bottom end from, he's built motors like this before, the 496 is worth almost 75ft lbs more at 2500rpm, than the 468. With the new bottom end it'll be all forged and I know what I have.
