Default Best ways to squeeze HP out of my 8.1L

Hey guys, I just traded up from my '01 rcab/lb 4.8 2wd 1500 to an '02 cc/lb 4x4 8.1L/ally 2500hd with 3.73s. My goodness, what a difference in horsepower! I want more! I'm doing a fair amount of towing with the truck and would like to keep from having to do drastically expensive mods such as bulletproofing my transmission. What about cold air intake, free-flowing exhaust, and low-cost mods like that? On the exhaust, I'm thinking maybe true dual exhaust coming out at the stock angle on the rear, and wouldn't mind a little beefier sound, but I don't want alot more cab noise. Also, the truck's at 79500 miles on the original plugs. Is it getting time to change them, and if so, are there high-performance plugs/ignition wires that would increase performance? Thanks in advance.

You would have to kinda crazy with power before you would hurt the Ally. 3.73 have done fine for me.

Dyno tune, CAI, Supercharger, 4.10's is what i have and the Allison doesnt miss a beat. 2 things to remember with the allison trany......(1) Drive it like its made out of glass until it reaches temperature, it doesnt like to get stomped on when its cold. (2) Dont get nuts with the 4-5 shift, thats its weak spot. Dont try a WOT kick down from 5-4 then back to 4-5 (if you are more than 150rwhp over stock), they dont like that a whole lot either. All other shifts 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 the ally will hold up fine until you start putting down 200rwhp or more over stock. Remember this is the SAME built trannys that come behind the diesels the last few years...and they have been putting down quite a bit more TQ (stock) than the gassers. Only exception would be the '06's with the 6 speed Allisons, they are a little more beefed up. I would not worry about the trany at all until you start making serious power at the rear wheel. Even with my blower giving me 400rwhp or so ....im not making what most would consider "serious power" yet.

yeah, everybody i've talked to has been happy with their Westers tune. i've got that on my wish list, along with an outlaw CAI, Stainless Works LTs (the only company I can find that makes long tube headers for the 8.1L), and i've narrowed the exhaust options down to Corsa and Magnaflow. I want free-flowing exhaust without much added noise over stock. Maybe a slightly beefier sound, but I listen to music and want to be able to carry on conversations and what not, so it can't be too loud. Of course, I could always insulate the cab.

Thoughts?

Unless... Well, Linda mentioned something about a surgery last week. She wouldn't say what it was for, but then I saw a bottle of testosterone pills at her house today, and then put two and two together.... so erm...Linda, got something you need to tell us?
