flowmaster is better than stock, but when you hold it beside a magnaflow and look through em you see that the magnaflow is straight through, and the flowmaster is chambered...so obviously magnaflow flows better than flowmaster, magnaflow also sounds a ton better IMO

Im running true dual 3" mandrel bent piping dumped before the axle with 16" Magnaflow race bullets, and it sounds nasty. Might be to loud for some, but i love it. Best setup i have everhad. My truck is also cammed and a few other goodies and stalled, those striat pipe stock trucks are no match in compairson for a real exhaust setup.

strait pipe=redneck lol id never do that to any vehicle id own. so these magnaflow bullets an borla xr-1s are strait threw design. herd good things about both.........what to do. Ima try to keep my side exit though

flowmasters dont flow...... lol!! flowmaster 1 chambers flow well, alot better than there street counterparts, along with the outlaw. i personally have never heard a magnaflow on one of these trucks that i really liked ( stock cam, i should add) im running a flowmaster 10 into a center mount exhaust system, very close to that of a slp version camaro, (two square tips beside each other) longtubes and no cats, awesome sound, very pleased with this above all the others, and man ive had some muffler systems on this truck, the 10 offers a very deep idle, awesome acceleration note, and i have no drone at all

it all comes down to sound preference, just stay away from loudmouth 1's, they made my truck sound like a tractor, lol

In my opinion i think my magnaflow sounds awesome on my big block! but the truth is the type of muffler you choose should be looks at by the type of exhaust you have (headers or manifolds) running a open muffler like a magnaflow or borilla is good for a vehicle with manifolds because its extending the collector on the end of the manifold and opending it up to act like more of a header. but a chambered muffler is actually better for a set up with headers unless you compensate for the open muffler because it will make the bigger collector on a header set up act like it is bigger and disturb the scavenging affect of it and messes exhaust back pressure tone or note (ill call it). if you look around there cars that run a baffled box in the exhaust system with headers and then an open muffler. but more then anything a so called tuned exhaust system is what you want for a vehicle but its damn near impossible to get with out alot of time and money for different set ups and dyno time.

But im not gonna lie id rather have a magnaflow any day! great sound and not so much drone that vibrates everything to hell as a flowmaster lol
