Default best mufflers?

I am looking to re-do my exhaust, I am keeping it true dual and dumping before the axle. Now, I dont know what I want for muffler, i dont want anyflowmaster or anything like that, because i have that now. I am looking for Borla or some round magnaflows or something like that, I am not limited to those though. and how much do the mufflers run? thanks.

Default Go with the hooker

The hookers sound very nice with cats! Even better without IMO!

I agree, the Hooker Aerochamber, Magnaflow, and DynoMax Bullet is probably what everyone will recommend, can't go wrong with any of those 3.

Borla, Corsa, Dynomax bullets, hooker aerochambers and magnaflows are all good mufflers. Cant go wrong with any of them! I have bullets on mine and i like it. I may try out an aerochamber just to try something different though.

Does anyone know which of mufflers listed above would have the best gains from just the muffler alone?

I have the MagnaFlow Exhaust System on my 03 HD. It has a nice deep rumble and is not as loud as most systems but is still kinda loud. The interior noise is always present as well. The system I would have gone with if I had to do it all over again would Corsa. Chevrolet puts these systems on their performance series trucks and they soud GOOD. I also made the mistake not realizing that any system can be modified to fit your application.

Hey Brian - Go to www.Corsaperf.com. Click on Exhaust Sounds. Then click on 5.3 GM Trucks. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you have to click on the true dual systems. This should help you out and try to call them for more consultation about your application. They should know.
