I'd go with cold air intake, headers, shift kit, stall converter, and then cam kit. That should just about spend your money.

I dont know anything about cams, but I think a converter is a great mod. Id probably do a cam and converter since Lyndon can tune for the cam anyway.

I have the volant on my truck and I like it alot. It made a difference in performance (not a huge difference) and it makes a whole lot more sound at WOT that the stock one does. Plus it looks ballin under the hood.

It seems that the most common cam for trucks like ours is Comp 212/218 .522-.529 114LSA w/918 springs and Magnum pushrods.

TOG, ASM, and Thorley headers are popular.

Nice to see another AL guy here!

Stall, TransGo, billet servos (at least billet OD and 'Vette intermediate)...that's gonna be about $1200-1300 installed.

If you don't want stall, do a mild cam like a 214/200 .520/.540 (use '02+ Z06 springs, good to .550" and $88 for 16 of them) 114LSA. That will work great.

Thorley makes good LTs as does TOG and ASM. I really like stall for it's drivability, the performance associated with it is nice too.

I forgot to mention, a CAI you can make yourself cheaply (see some recent threads on here about them) or just hack the bottom of the stock air box.

But pretty much anything you want to do will be spendy but yield very impressive gains.
