do you want total et or just extra power? a stall and tune will do nicely for et reduction. for power, i would do a tune and homebrew intake and maybe some headers and muff if you could squeeze it all in for 800.

For fun street driivng I'd say.
Custom tune, ghetto fab homemade intake, and a replacment muffler. You'll gain some HP and the shift point changes coupled with TQ managment changes makes for a totally different truck. Plus it'll sound beefier.
That should eat up about $650. The save the rest for a:
Higher stall TQ converter which will drmatically reduce ETs dut won't do much for you on the street and doesn't really help at all from a roll.

That's some very useful info right there, thanks. I had no idea a stall would only help me on the track. Well that saves me about $1000.
And yes I am looking for extra power, not lower ET. Thanks for all the replys.

I shouold state that the converter will help on the street from a dead stop IF you have good traction. So it's not totally useless or anything. Just not much help after you get rolling or if you have traction problems already.

It's a device that saves a junk load of money.
Seriously though. Some of us just can't see spending $250+ on an intake system when you can simply hit up HomeDepot or other hardware store and make your own intake that works almost as well or better. Some PVC tubing or if you have a tubing bender you can easily makre your won intake. I became a firm beliver when I bought all the high dollar parts for my truck and my buddy ghetto fabed all his parts and he spanked me every time we raced.
