Im lookin at gettin some heads and ive seen that SLP has some that come with a cam. are there any others? ive seen that some people have Stage2. this will be going on a 99 SCSB with a 5.3 and a westers tune. also what cam would you reccomend to go with the heads. im planning to go the N/A route too.

If you wanna go big I'll have my STage2+ heads for sale here shortly but the 2.02 valves may be a bit big for your 5.3L. They would actually raise your CR to about 10.0 i think because these made my CR 11.4:1 on my T/A.

 

I have some Patriot Stage IIs that were hand-finished by Jantzer Performance. They are extremely nice. They are milled .043". I have a 212/218 .558/.563 115 cam to go with them. I might be selling it all and going with a 05 SS, but that is what I have now for a 5.3.

 

GTP can go to hell with his flow bench voo-doo, scams and everything else he pulls. I've heard so much shadey crap about that guy and his terrible customer service.

Whatever, I had a great set of heads that performed very well in my car and anyone that is willing to spend hours worth of their time to help me tune a combo that I didn't even buy directly from them is ok in my book.

Some of the guys in my LS1 club have had good luck with the Absolute Speed heads also. One of em just did 430rwhp with the tRex cam but has the smaller heads which can't really take advantage of that came. Still not bad for an auto.
