Default BBK throttle body

I was wondering has anyone used the throttle body from bbk. Also if you have a hpp3 or nelson tune will that affect it. I've seen them for about $400. I currently have an '03 sierra rc with a 4.8 & hpp3. Seriously considering nelson tune.

basically ive heard they help but not enough to justify their high price tag. porting and polishing your tb is much cheaper and you will get similar results

Just do your's. It's easy and a fraction of the cost. I think there is a tutorial somewhere around here too.

With your mods don't waste your time. You don't need the extra flow that the 80mm would be able to produce. Even H/C 5.7s are not really "needing" the extra size. Port the stock unit

Just stick to the stock one and port/polish it. I hear that bigger BBK TB works for more cubes.

well if you get the BBK T/B and using HPP3 you will lose time in the 1/4 mile but if you get the NELSON PERFORMANCE TUNE then you will gain, jmo, later, kevin
