Default Best combo of Heads and Cam

Like the title says I'm looking for the best combo of heads and a cam that would help with power but also not lessen reliability. I plan on pulling a 5.3 out a parts truck I have. The motor will most likely end up in my truck if the motor grenades or it will go into a project car. I read the cam sticky and still don't know which one to go with and since I figured I'm doing a cam some heads would help things out. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Anything you touch you lessen the reliability. If you want it 100% reliable leave it stock.

243/799 heads with a 220ish cam is pretty reasonable to drive and makes good power.

Thanks for the input. Just trying to get a few more horses outta the truck til I have enough coin laying around to buy a turbo kit and supporting mods.

This is a loaded question

What youre gonna get is alot of opinions

Youll need to do the research yourself as what atomic said might be too tame for you where as i may say its radical or etc

There is no such thing as the "best" combo. If a turbo kit is your ultimate goal, skip the heads/cam and save your pennies until you can afford that turbo kit.
