Post 2007 1500 6.0 cam

Trying to get a cam with good mid to high end power for my truck. Considering a Trailblazer I6 converter. I sometimes tow but nothing crazy, small boat, snowmobile, toys. I know these heads like high lift and split duration but ive been told the ls9 cam has to much split for NA. Recommendations would be great.

2007 Silverado 1500 4x4 crew cab
l96 6.0 with l92 heads
3.73 gears
275 - 285 tires
Gutted cats with Magnaflow duals
Going with a Blackbear tune

Mid to High rpm cam will need more than a 3:73 gear and more than a cheap 2200-2400 rpm converter.
Tons of people use an LS9 on boost. It can be used on an n/a motor with the right amount of converter and timing. Yet it can be a turd compared to other higher lift cams.
As for these heads loving high lift and big splits can be taken wrong. The more split in a truck is when you start to lose low end tq in turn picking up hp. Yet HP means nothing if the truck has no TQ to push it around.

Rick Crawford has the fastest G8 cam cars as far as i know. Which yes it is a car, yet he doesn't spec donkey cams.

My .02 for you since it seems you don't know exactly where to start. Spend the money on a real cam by a real cam guru vs buying a cheap cam that you have no idea how it will do in thhat heavy 4wd.

check out this link I just posted with cam specials. The third cam selection would work great and not require you to change the converter.
