for the power i'm putting out, i think my jagperformance is the best tranny ,

RACING TRANSMISSIONS offers a bad *** 4l60 that held 1000 horsepower in a 4500# Impala SS, that should hold anything any of us are gonna throw at it pretty well.

I think parish proved to all of us that FLP makes a very stout tranny. That is what I plan on getting when I get a stall and supercharger!

it was around $2400 after you subtract the $600 core charge but i got the 4L65E upgrade which was $400. without the upgrade it should be alittle under $2200 shipped.

A couple of quick questions for the experts. I have an '03 4WD Tahoe, what tranny do I have? Secondly, I have a predator programer which has helped to firm up the shifts, but they still aren't as firm as I would like them, what else can I do, I tow with this so I want to make sure it is still "user friendly". Lastly, If I need to break into the tranny could someone recommend a knowledgable tranny shop in the Seattle area? Thanks.

One more vote for FLP's level IV 4L65E

You should have the 4L60E and to firm up your shifts, it seems like the trans-go shift kit is the forum favorite. It's about $90-$120 depending who you buy it from. I would recomend that a trans shop put it in though.
