If you don't want to change valvesprings Crane makes a 206/216 cam that will work stock valvesprings and should give a healthy increase in power with a smooth idle. With anything more you would need to change the valvesprings.

I don't think anyone has given you any feedback because there is no one best cam for the 5.3. You have to give a little more information about what you are looking for. You out to make as much power as possible or are you looking for more low and mid torque? You have a torque converter?
Give a little more information for exactly what you are looking for and I am sure the resident cam expert, BigTex, would be more than happy to help.
My two cents about cam selection would be, simply based on the fact you mentioned wou want to supercharge this engine, would be to go with a cam with a little more lift and duration on the exhaust side. You'll have no problem getting air into the chamber and making it easier to get out will help you make more power. As for lift and LSA, that depends entirely on what you are looking for. With a long duration cam, I recommend getting a little more LSA to bring the power down to a more useful RPM.
