Default belt tensioner, adjustable?

I have a 13' turbo 6.2 Silverado. I've thrown my belt several times now, happens at higher rpm's on the boost. I'm guessing I need an adjustable tensioner. Which one would be recommended? TIA!

Check your pulley alignment with a laser tool.

Throwing belts is usually one of these things:

1. Pulley alignment off

2. Crank pulley spinning (not pinned)

3. Too long of belt

I had that happen on my firebird. I swapped out the actually pulley for one with taller 'sides' that fixed the problem.

I would check off madmann's list first though.

Thanks! Is there a way of checking the alignment without buying an expensive laser kit?

A straightedge.

My money is on the balancer spinning though.

That makes sense. This might be a stupid question, but as far as the balancer, is that pinned stock or is that a mod?

Its a mod. You can. Buy a kit for pinning the crank. Its a must for any decent ammount of power
