Has anyone with ASP pulleys had problems with their belt slipping? I've had the underdrive crank pulley and overdrive alt pulley on for about 8 months with no problem until this last week. Every morning now my belt squeaks bad for about 3-4 minutes until it gets warmed up (especially on damp or rainy days). Has anyone else had this problem or found another belt that cures it? Thanks

I thought mine was, come to find out it wasnt the belt, it was the ac compressor clutch. It had gotten a light coat of rust on it and was making a squeeling noise. A quick shot of lube while it was running solved the prob. It still does it on really humid mornings like you described.

My self and another person had that same problem plus the alt pulley was making a fine rubber dust out of the belt from where it was slipping. I put the stock pulley back on and it never squeeked. I sent the overdrive alt pulley back to asp and the one that they sent back did the same thing. This was with one of the expensive gatorback belts that are suppoesdly squeal proof. If you go to a slightly shorter belt I think that your problem will go away.
