Default Belt slippage

well i got my new motor broke in and after driving it for a couple of days the stock belt started to slip slightly and after rolling into it and letting off the the belt chirped and after that the belt was squeaking so bad i couldnt hear myself think, im pissed (the belt was only on before the new motor for 11,000 miles) so i went to napa to just get some belt conditioner because ill be going back with the charger before to long but they say that it is not for automotive use because it will damage the pulleys. So i buy a new belt and put it on and two days later it starts slipping. What the hell would cause a brand new belt to start slipping? All opinions wanted and sorry for the novel

Thanks

Possibly a loose pulley, worn tensioner, something is siezing or mis-aligned? It's also possible that some oil or coolant got on the pullies causing the belt to slip. If all of the belt driven accories check out OK, and the tensioner seems strong, you could try putting some valve lapping compound on the belt to help it grip better.

ok the tensioner shouldnt be worn out and when we took the front off the motor we got coolant on the pulleys but it had a week to dry off and i dont think it would affect the second belt im not sure. ill check all the pulleys to make sure they are tight and try the lapping compound.

thanks

Make sure the P/S pulley is lined up perfectly. I had a squeeking problem I chased for a couple of days and it ended up being the P/S pulley wasn't flush with the rod.
