Default belt size for UD crank pulley

Just like the title says i need the gates belt size for running a 145amp alternator...It lists a belt size on SLP's website but i think that is for the trucks with the 105amp alternator.

thanks in advance,
Jed

I know that when I swapped on my 145 amp alternator that I used a longer belt (got the part number from creederado's old "official 2005 efan thread"), so I'd assume that the UD belt would be longer than the one that comes with the kit also. I'm going to keep my eye on this thread, just in case someone posts up a part number and I ever decide to do UD pulleys.

I've been wondering about this, too. I think I'm going to try to find a belt about 0.7" longer (taking both sizes to the installer and returning the one that doesn't fit), since the factory belt for the 145 is 0.7" longer than the 105. (my similar thread, but I have a 160-amp factory alternator)

That's a good idea, makes perfect sense...are you planning on using a GM belt or aftermarket? Here's the GM part number for the belt that I'm using with the 145amp alternator and factory pulleys...not sure if it helps but I guess it couldn't hurt 12576451
