Default Beating dead horse. 799 vs l92 heads

I've got a set of 799 and l92 heads sitting here. Truck has a mild gm hot cam that i love and won't be switching. I have read and read and read all over here and on ls1tech. Can't really find what I'm looking for.
If both heads are left stock other then milling to get proper compression, which will perform better on a lq9? Truck has a good nitrous stall and doesn't drop below 5200 between shifts so not really worried about midrange power. Just 1/4 times.

Truck has been 11.7 at 115 not being able to spray out of the hole as I'm dialing in the new relocated qa1s and smith bars.

Staying with that cam and the rest of your combination, I believe the 799s will be your best bet.

with your cam and the addition of nitrous, I would run the 799

edit; I thought the exhaust flow was better on the 799/243 vs ls3/l92...it's not, but that alone doesn't change my mind.

sell both sets and put that money towards some as-cast 220 heads. bang for buck is awesome on them.

And aftermarket cathedrals are the ****!

1/8 et&mph put my stock bottom ls2 just over 500 to the wheel with a mild 236/242 cam.

The square ports are great for top end...with the right setup, what are specs on your cam? I know my truck with lq9 and comp xr275hr had top end for days, but bottom end was severely lacking!!!!
