bad idea to buy a 427?

so im thinkin that i wanna buy a 427, is this just a waste of money, or a good investment?

is it a carburated gen 3 ls7 or a gen 1 427 big block chevy

depending on what they want for it

i havent seen a 427 crate in a while but then again i havent been looking... most of what i see is 350, 383, 454, 502
