And it's fine until I give it more than 1/4 throttle. If it was valves wouldn't it do it all the time?

right after I did my cam until we got it tuned anything over 3k it would hesitate real bad....it was dumping fuel and boggin it out to. This could be a tuning issue.

Did you check push rod lengths?

What would make it accelerate while driving down the road? If I pull out somewhere, I don't even have to give it any gas, and it's really slow coming down from a rev.

you have tuning issues!!! your idle tune is all off which if your tuner didnt do that he may have done a half *** job on the rest of the tune

That's kinda what I was thinking. I am really certain that I made sure of the timing. Everything was good when I put the cover on. He says that it's a valvetrain problem. I don't see what that has to do with why it accelerates going down the road and why I don't have to push the gas to go. I am going to ask him again tonight. I will keep everyone posted.

That's the symptoms of a vacuum leak...

your base runing idle airflow is set too high. it will cause it to act like cruise control. or a vacuum leak, did you get the valve cover lines all hooked up?
