i'm not sure if you've done any work on the intake side of the blower or not, but procharger does leave room for improvement there. most of them use a filter right off the blower. this just takes in a ton of hot air off the exhaust. this along with changing the tune alone should be of some gain. from there i'd go after the intercooler. you have a damn nice truck and a great selection of parts. now to get them to work together well.

A 13 seems like alot to ask for a heavy ATI truck with a very small stall that ran a 16.9 at probably 82 mph stock.

With a 2.2 60', you'd have to run about 97 mph to pull a high 13.

Improve that 60, then a 13 wouldn't be out of the question.

My experience with the ATI tells me that to run good times all blower you need at least- a 3200+ stall, a less restrictive intercooler, and a good tune.

Stock I ran- 17.0 at 81
just the ATI- 15.0 at 91
12psi,SS3800, good tune, bigger intercooer-12.99 at 102

The additions to the ATI were worth way more hp than the ATI alone.
That's why I try to steer people away from a centrifugal for a truck.

last year on a customers tahoe we installed a p1sc with a 2800 stall that went 13.8 running lean on the high end and grinding the driveshaft on the frame crossbar on the launch. my guess on his 60' is that someone hasn't tuned the truck for the stall for certain. even with that trailblazer stall he should be able to 60' around a low 2.0. at 10psi he should have no problem trapping 95+ with the truck dialed in either. the tahoe was over 5000lbs with me in it with an old school 350 and was able to trap 98. his having the 04' 5.3 should have plenty of room to go from where it is i just think it's a matter of getting everything out of it that it has coming.

I agree. A GOOD tune will do wonders. I'll bet theres 50+hp in a good tune. The problem is, I don't think you can get a good FI tune by mail.

A dyno tune or hp tuners would be his best bet.

The truck should have ran low 16s @ 85-86mph bone stock.

All your weight is from those add-on items you have for sure. My Snug Top cover is about 140lbs. Those step bars are probably about 80lbs, hitch 40lbs, bedliner 30lbs? etc etc. It all kinda adds up. When I was racing mine I could strip it down a bit and get it to 4750lbs without me in it 4900lbs with me. After the turbo install it was 5250 with me in it + one of my subwoofer boxes.. I check my weight at the tracks scale everytime I race. It may vary a bit but not by too much. My poor RCSB was 4460 raceweight and that was without a hitch or spare.

I remove this stuff for racing.

rear seat = 65lbs
Tailgate = 45lbs
Subs = 90lbs
Bed Cover = 140lbs or so <.... I rarely have this on on the street.

15.0
That has to be a dissapointing bang for the buck wise.I run 14.2s with a mild inexpensive 6.0 that has been flawless mechanically for years and many many miles.Excellent driveability and given up 1 mpg over stock.It continually tows over max.We all have different expectations out of our daily driver work trucks.Maybe a tune will help.

Don't be too hard on him. I'm sure he is frustrated as it is. Last week there was a guy out at the track in a newer S10 with a Vortech blower on it and he was only running 15.8s with zero tirespin. He was pissed the whole time. Poor guy.

Look at your mods and look at mine. I bolted up my supercharger in about 4 hours, and can easily take it back to stock for warranty work. You have heads, cam, etc......I am sure if I had heads and cam to go with my blower I could easily get well into the 13's with this beast, but it isnt what I am after. My blower cost me 3,000 with the injectors and everything included, and I dropped close to 2 seconds, I dont think that is too bad really. How much did you set up cost? The only bad investment was the mail order tune at $250 I think, but I wanted to get it on the road and Speed inc was talking over a week for a dyno tune.
I am really not disapointed at all. I know it will get better, and it was the first time at the track with it. I could have padded the numbers by stripping the truck, icing it down, etc and probably gone mid 14, but why?

mzoomora dont worry to much about the ET just yet. your on the BASE kit things can only get better i know u dotn want a bigger stall but it would help a WHOLE lot. a big IC is a MUST i was getting ready to do one just before my truck got stolen blackblown showed me before and after logs of his griffin IC it almost had as many gains ad i did when i went form n/a to s/c!!! besides between you and gonzo from a roll i got my money on you LOL. and being that you have the d1sc you have so much more room to play with u mention you had another truck that wasnt your daily maybe this kit is best suited for that truck if it is a NBS gen3.
