Nice ride man, and that cam sounds great. it burbles and has a mean, tame sound. I like it.
Yeah, I meet you there at the shop, your truck looks sharp. How did everything go with it at the track? I really like the cam too, it works great in my 4.8 and it pulls forever. I didn't think it would sound the way it does but I do love how it sounds. Are you thinking about getting a cam in yours?

Pretty much everything. I would have to get with him to find out all of it. The truck feels very different and whole lot stronger. I would love to see what a stock truck with a Nelson Performance tune would do.

If I even get close to what his reputations says my truck will get I will be happy. I have been wanting to get rid of that Radix superchips tune forever but everytime I get ready to go see Allen I decide to put something in first. I just recently got the cam in and now I am definately ready for some serious tuning. When I get down there Joe is going to put in my shift kit and servo, then Allen is going to work his magic. That will be it until spring. Hopefully by then I will have some TEA heads, custom built for my FI setup. Then I can kick up the boost a little more and see if I can blow the bottom out of this thing.

This sounds like exactly what I need! Unfortunately, I am nowhere near San antonio (SF Bay area in CA)...anyone know of any "good" tuners in the SF/Oakland/San Jose area?

Get with Allen he does mail order PCM's. When you get the new one with the edit in it you send him yours.

Is there a secret formula for determining the correct programming based on the mods performed? Seems like the PCM would need to be programmed according the engine dynamics, right? For instance, I will be installing a Powerdyne blower, LQ4 heads, LS1 cam & intake and headers (long or short tube--not sure what is in the budget yet); can the PCM be programmed based on this info alone?
