Default awesome i can break dual valve springs.

i talked about my truck miss fireing in the post by u luz about his truck not running much better with the new motor.

wall been chasing the prob from bad gas to spark plugs, to wires, to o2 sensors. my first thought when it happend was the valve springs but hoped not. well the last resort was tareing it apart and sure enough intake valve spring cylinder #4 was broke. well this is great i had enough money to get my truck tuned but now i have to replace the valve springs.

but it is my failt and i knew better and learned the hard way.

so for those of you running or planning to run high lift cams get dual valve springs it is cheep insurance. i am glad i di my motor could of possibly been trashed.

how high is the lift on that cam, and how high were you running it? must have been well above 6k rpm. sorry to hear that man.

sad to say i was not running it that high. i was being stupid and knew better. i did not let them heat up and only got it to about 3000rpm's

i am kicking my self now because the truck only has 8000 miles on it. it is one of those things like touching something you just cut with a torch. it is like what were you thinking.
