I want to know if anyone has any dyno numbers a D1sc made with a 5.3. I talked to procharger about 2 weeks ago and I told them my setup with the cam. They recommended the D1 over the P1, but they told me that 400 rwhp would be easy to make without my cam with the P1! I want to beat a Lightning truck in my area that runs 8 seconds flat in the 1/8th

I have also looked at the turbo setups, C Motorsports is good but no price, Livernois price is insane, I agree if alot of power is what you want to make the turbo is the way to go. The STS is a awesome kit, but I dont want to mess with the meth injection and upgrades on turbos, to make the same amount of boost you can get with a centrifical.
If you want 450-470 rwhp, you will need bigger injectors and something to tune them, and a bigger intercooler. The one that comes with the kit is a really poor excuse for an intercooler. It doesn't hardly cool the air at all, and is extremely restrictive. To get decent 60' times, you'll probably want a bigger stall than the 3000 also.

The D1SC has to have the oil changed every so often whereas the Radix does not. Traction may be a problem with the ATI with that sudden kick in boost.

I am no expert, nor do I play one on TV.
ATI boost doesn't kick in suddenly at all. When running 8 psi, it starts at 1 psi at 2000 rpm and slowly ramps up to 8 psi at redline. Obviously those numbers would be higher when you change pulleys.

With a Radix, full boost kicks in as soon as you step on it.

I got to ride in a truck with an ATI kit on it. It felt like boost came all of a sudden. Really started to rip. Like I said, im no expert. Only describing from my experience with the ride I took.

I guess I can understand that feeling. Before I had a stall, it would feel dead until about 3500-4000 rpm, at about the 5 psi mark, then take off. The boost ramps up slowly, but if you're not watching the guage, it kinda does feel like that.

It is my opinion and experience that the Procharger truck kit is limited to right around 530 to 540rwhp max. At around 500rwhp, the belt becomes a problem. GMCSKI and I had both had a D-1SC (which uses a larger pulley than the P-1SC), at 500rwhp both of us had this problem. A decent stall is also needed. The Prochrager also has to be tuned alot. For all out power the Procharger is the one to buy.

I would buy the Radix.
