i did not have any trouble pulling or replacing the heads with the studs on and the tranny in plenty well enough clearance just had to pull the hell out of the headers.

pictures of the stud install should be viewable HERE

if it doesn't work let me know and i'll figure something else out. they are kinda blurry and dark but i don't have the ability on this computer to lighten them up any. if anyone can, let me know and i'll email them to ya for some cleaning up. thanks

Matt

The link to imagestation didn't work. Try again. I'd like to see them. Also want to see how much carbon buildup in on the pistons. How many miles do you have now?

Oh yeah, you know you should have just thrown that 6L short block in. That 6L I sold you just needed the covers and a few misc parts. Otherwise it was ready to roll and in near perfect condition. If you are going the distance using head studs, new cam, and heads on your stock motor, I assume the 6L is no longer around. Too bad.

the 6.0 is sitting right next to the truck....it has it's time, it underwent some changes in the last year since it left your house. i'll post the pics as attachments on here. you can't see the carbon build up that well in the pics, but on the outter rim of each piston there is a little layer of carbon about 1/16 thick...but only like 1/8 wide and only goes around the perimeter of the piston maybe 1 inch
