Arp head stud questions unanswered

i want to say they recommend different tq specs if using oil vs the moly lube

I would call ARP direct and ask them. I would be very surprised if they don't have a tech line. The reason I say this is because I come from the diesel world where head studs are everything and ARP changed up the torque specs on the heads studs on my last diesel so you never know. Also I would clarify the whole moly lube vs oil but I imagine they will suggest their brand of lube which I suggest getting.

yeah adding oil to the studs will definitely mess with the torque on the studs. so double check that.

Gents, completely agree that only ARP lube should be used on the M11x1.0 threads when torquing down the heads. This ensures that the nuts are subjected to the correct friction forces and the correct clamping force is achieved.

Oil on the M11x2.0 block side threads, a little oil is acceptable if you're having trouble twisting in the bare studs to the block by hand.
