Default Arp head stud questions unanswered

Everyone says use the search well how about the search leads you to posts with 100s of different answers so would someone clear the air and tell me, when installing arp head studs into a lq4 do you install dry? Lubed? What's the tq 70? 80? What's the patterns? Someone who's installed with success please chime in I'm in the middle of a build and I'm tried of searching and reading 10 different answers

The ARP studs should come with instructions. If they didnt, you can get them on their website.

Install the studs dry hand tight and torque down the bolts using ARP moly lube. 30-50-80 lb/ft on the large studs.

Install the studs hand tight the torque down the bolts? I have studs not bolts.... You mean nuts and washers?

Yes, studs dry and hand tight. Then nuts with assembly lube to specified torque, usually in 2-3 smaller steps.

And make sure your head bolt holes are dry and free of debris.

you can put a little oil on the block threads, it makes no difference in the end. My block threads had some light surface corrosion and the oil helped me to thread them in. Hand tight only, as others have said.

Oil is ok, water is not ok. Make sure you blow out all the stud holes before threading them in.
