Default Anyone used Magnaflow's round (bullet type) mufflers?

I just purchased a pair of Magnaflow round mufflers #10436 which are 2.5" in/out. My truck already has a true dual setup using a Flowmaster dual in/out but its too loud, drones on the highway and is rusting through.

I'm planning on a 2.5" x-pipe setup using these mufflers but I have no idea what they sound like. Haven't been able to find any sound clips yet. Anyone used these mufflers before?

I have a singe 3" in/out, 4" or 5" bullet muffler (can't remember which one) dumped after the rear axle. At idle it has a nice deep rumble and at WOT it is LOUD!!! Definately gets peoples attention. Love the sound of it.

Here is a link to the muffler.

I had one on my truck before I swapped to the flowmaster super 40 which is WAY quieter than my 14inch mag.

Car has a 5.3 with a mild cam swapped into it. Longtubes, X pipe, and the round magnaflows dumped before the axle.

Same difference. Just an iron blocked LSx. It was built by a guy on a local mustang board. Hell, he's probably even on LS1tech too.

The motor is a 5.3 out of a truck with an aftermarket generic comp cam grind that he got for a good deal. The cam is a bit large IMO for the cubes and lower compression of the 5.3l bottom end but will work well on bottle. The heads are stock 5.3l heads with some quickie light clean up and milling but still uses the stock valves. Stock 5.3l heads are the worst flowing LS head out there especially with stock valves in them, the light porting that was done probably didn't do anything so I would just consider it a small clean up job on old heads. It could easily pick up another 40 rwhp just from doing some real ported 5.3l castings with bigger valves, etc. Could probably use a ported stocker TB too for another 5-10 rwhp.

Damn, that mustang sounds nice. Its got a nice tone and doesn't sound too loud until it goes WOT.

My truck has 3" duals which I think are too loud, and Im hoping the 2.5" setup w/ x-pipe will clean up the sound. Also have a 3" in/out Borla ProXS that I know sounds dead quiet, but I don't know how the 3" ORY would work with the heavy truck.
