Default Anyone tried these small cams in a 4.8L?

Ive been looking around at getting a cam for my truck which is a NNBS CC 4wd. I dont need to make much power up top as I tow frequently for work and my wife drives it as well.

So far ive got a tune, MIT kit, and an electric cutout just to make a little noise every now and then. Some 4.10's should be going in soon. Id like to stay away from longtubes and a stall, so thats going to make for very limited cam selection. Since I have a 4.8L, Im looking to keep duration low and more than anything keeping great street manners.

Here are some choices ive been considering: High lift 212/218, Vinci 210/218, Lunati 212/221 and the SDPC 214/218. All of these cams look to fit my needs but other than the xr265, havent heard much of the others. I asked around for some recommendations but everyone says go 220+ duration but even my old 216/220 in a rcsb 4.8L felt a little dead down low.

yea you wanna stay in the low 210s for any decent power under 3000rpms.
what transmission do you have? 4l60E?

You could look at the isky 210 or 212, it works great in all the other motors

Ive got the 4L60E but never looked into the Isky cams. Where can I get ahold of them or look into more cam specs? Also, how would that 212/221 work with the stock exhaust? Coming from an LT1 background the old Crane 227 (210/224) put down some great track numbers with very lightly modded cars.

The 212/218 High-Lift is a popular choice, I would've suggested this one for your application!
