Anyone think an STS/Radix would work?

It wouldn't work, the amount of power to further compress the air entering the SC at 5-7lbs would offset most the gains if not all.

the blower can only spin so fast/suck in so much air, I dont think boosting the air going into it would do much

but yes, you should try it

Its been done and still being done.
Volvo Penta uses a supercharger that is clutch driven like the clutch on an AC compressor. It stays ingaged till it hits 1800rpms, then it switches off and a valve is blown shut by the turbo boost. Then the turbo takes the rest of the rpm range. The desiels with this setup in boats is awsome. They take off like a rocket, and run at 4500rpms making 35psi of boost.

Even though its been done, and can be adapted to a truck its really not a good idea. A well chosen turbo will make boost realy quick, and have very little lag.

Interesting concept. It would be cool to see it successfully done on an LS1 engine. I agree with the previous comments - there would be air flow limitations and extensive custom fabbing and tuning.

If you could fab a clutch-operated pulley for a Radix, you would probably find some customers. Maybe a custom "Mad Max" button for the dash to activate the clutch...
