Generally the worst that happens if a bottle sees too much pressure is the burst disc blows and it's a loud *** noise that might scare the crap out of you causing you to jerk the wheel and fly off the edge of a 200' tall bridge, plunging to your death...

Or you flinch at the loud noise and proceed to roll down your windows and hold your breath while the vapors exit the car.

I know of 2 bottles that blew and people were right next to em and had zero issues other than scared shitless.
Roll down the windows??!! ****, what a waste. I know of people who go through more nitrous in a night than several of you heavy nitrous users do in a week.

Ok If you go to Yahoo or google and do a search for n20 bottle explosion you will come up with ONE story. There are pcitures of it and emails back and forth from him and the NX owner. The dumbass either put two burst disc in or didnt have one in I cant remember. Anyways he left his bottle heater on with the bottle closed(NO NO) for like a day or so and it blew his car up and his garage(there are plenty of pics on it). The thing is that he had his bottle heater wired so that if his car was off and the keys werent in there he could have his bottle heater on! What a dumbass! Thats why you get automatic bottle heaters these days and wire your **** the right and safe way. Well he wouldnt send the bottle to NX because he was paranoid that they would throw the evidence away! He is trying to get like $500k from NX! That is the ONLY story on the internet documented and that is saying alot since everything is ono the internet! Go check the story out! Here you go!

Anyways I will be mounting my bottle under the EC seat in brackets with a blowdown tube and blow off valve(with brandnew burst disc) with a automatic bottle warmer that is wired correctly and a lighted switch to tell me its on or off! The most important part of any bottle(n20,compressed air,etc...) is a burst disc that is in good shape and installed correctly.

I have had a fairly catestrophic accident witha previously equiped nitrous car and it broke the bottle brakets off and ripped the bottle line right off the bottle completely evacuating the contents. I was more afraid of othe airbag that the bottle ...

At my old job we had a fire supressant gas system in the building. I want to say it was Halon or something. One weekend, a valve (about the size of a softball) failed and blew parts through two sheetrocked walls.
