Anyone mix in a little E85 in with regular 93??

Default Anyone mix in a little E85 in with regular 93??

I just noticed a gas station 3 miles away sells E85. I had a half of tank of gas soooooo i bought 1 gallon to see what it would do. Just wondering if anyone mixes e85 with regular gas

If I'm not mistaken you will have to richen up your AFR if you mix alot of it in because the stoichiometry ratio is lower so whatever the amount you put in it takes it down that much more..

Too much and you'll be in a lean condition. We do that to pass emissions sniffer tests, only use meth instead of e-85.

I run about 25% e85/93 when I go to the track. Cheap race gas and even at that mix, does wonders on how much timing I can run with out knock. I do fatten up the tune when I do it.

Interesting, ya i was just messing around with it to see what it would do. I figure with as little as i put in it shouldnt mess with the tune much. Just wondering how and what it would do

Sorry for a bit off topic, but the motor that i bought from the avalanche is flex fuel, so Can i run E-85 or do i have to do something to the gas tank?

Your truck was built for e85. So nothing different. The e85 stations that we had here are starting to disappear. No one really uses the stuff.
