Works really well on a FI DD (JJ Turbo runs 10's) and maintains gas mileage but for NA its not very hot at all. After all its an OEM.

If it's your daily driver I wouldn't get too carried away with a big cam.

It's all relative. It's different for everyone. Personally I wouldn't change the cam in my daily driver at all. It's almost always a trade off, and in a daily driver many times it's not worth giving up the drivability and gas mileage. A mild cam swap in a DD might work out OK, but that's as far as I would go.

But that works for me because my daily driver is just that, a daily driver and nothing more. I have several other cars to mod that aren't daily drivers.

Many times if you just put a nasty cam in a daily driver with no other changes and take it to the dragstrip you might find it's slower than it was. So what did you gain? Less mileage, worse drivablility, and a slower ET. But you got that cool sound right?

It won't be as lopey as the stock cam in trucks. I think LS6 is something of a 117lsa where as the f-bodies had a 116-116.5. The trucks had something of a 114.5-115 lsa. There is a chart floating around somewhere.

I'd call comp and get a LS6 like cam with more less LSA. Or just go with the 212/214 and call it a day. More power than LS6 cam. If you have an auto you'll want a 112 or higher LSA or you will jump with the brakes pushed down in D without a tune.

well it is my DD & i just want it to have more lope than what the stock 4.8 cam is...i would imagine the ls6 cam has more lope than the 4.8 stocker...so i'll probably stick with the ls6 just out of curiousity what kind of power gains should i see with the ls6 cam ((i know don't remind me i have to change springs & pr's too))
