Default anyone know stock cam grind?

Does any one know what the specs on the stock cam is? Allan at Futral told me that I need about a 212/212, or a 216/216. I am not sure about the lift. I believe he said about a 114 LSA. 212/212 sounded low to me because all my friends with F-body's get like 224/224. but allan said this is way to bid for a 5.3L. Also if I don't want to rev past 6300, I guess I should stick with a 212/212 because that is a lower rpm range correct? I am trying to learn this stuff. Please correct me and give me your input. I am also getting allan's stage 1 or 1 1/2 heads.( I am not sure if the one and a half heads or worth another $200. Are they anyone?)

Anyway I wanted to know if 212/212 was much higher than stock to begin with.
Thanks

i think it is a bit bigger than stock. I think the stock is like 200 or lower in dur. That cam will be a nice mod to your truck. You wont lose much down low with that cam. I am going smaller with mine maybe so i can use it as a tow rig again. New job means new racecar. I will put just a hair bigger than i have now with the cough cough.....400 plus cubed motor that should be done in about 4 to 5 months cough cough......Since i now have a hook up on 6.0 pull outs. I didnt know how much I really missed a nice paycheck

I already am making a deal with allan. But thanks for the offer Fast.

Red2K, where do you shift at? Allan was acting like 216/216 was shifting past 6300rpms and I was kind of scared of going over that. Is that true?

I shift at 6200 myself but dont let that reflect what you will need to change. I dont feel like it has much more to offer past that myself. Greg if you have that cam still in a month i will take it off your hands.
