My BBtriflo catback has a decent growl especially without the cats. It doesn't compare to a cut out though.

Regency trucks that i have seen have Z28 tips and a tip can make a big change in the way it sounds..but i know what you mean cuz they do sound good but i went from a dump with my flows to 31/4 side exit and it pretty loud....as for the gauges do your self a favor and let a pro do it....

It isn't super loud, but sounds badass. I have heard one on a C5 and it sounded great. Hard to explain deep and mean but not tinny sounding. I'd go for a B&B or Corsa if I wanted just a catback. Their sound is distinct.

i've done it. take a picture or write down exactly where the needles are pointing to with the engine on. because once you install the dash overlay, you have to put the needles back on in the correct spot. the needles pull straight out. have to pinch and pull pretty hard to get them out. when you put them back on, barely push them on, because if you push them all the way down, they sometimes rub and get stuck on the new overlay. check out my website (in sig)for pics of my dash.

I think its the way it bounces out of the tip just like changing a sub cabnet...i put a cheap 6 buck tip on my wifes old caviler a few years ago and it changed the way it sounded...as for cost i have seen chrome Z28
TIPS for like 40 bucks and probaly half that to put it on
it all about what YOU like.....
