Default Anyone have Pacesetter Problems?

Looking around they look like a pretty affordable long tube. Couple of questions on them though. They are using 16ga carbon steel, while TOG and others use 14ga Stainless. They supposedly are only ceramic coated where you can see it, ie not inside (I have an email off to confirm that). I guess regardless I have to do something about a Y pipe, either use the old and save the cat, or get a completely new one with a cat (as I'm in NY). I have heard both opinions of this brand, they have fit-up problems and that they are a great headre for an even better price and people love em. Just curious for some more opinions for those who have them on their truck.

Thanks guys,
Andrew

Really nice craftsmanship. I wish they were coated on the inside as well but for the price difference, its not worth the difference to me. I installed mine 2 months ago and they still look like they did when I pulled them out of the box.

Installed mine about 6 months ago. look as good as ever. the only problem i have had with mine is frying the stock O2 sensors. Im getting vette sensors soon; they handle the powa!

I just went through the same thing. Before I did the headers I was running 100 octane and that fouled up the o2's good but then when I did the headers I had some exhaust leak and that was all the 02's(front) could take. I replaced them with new stock style ones and it didnt help. I could barely drive my truck! I went with Bosch 13111(02 Vette rear 02's) and man did it do the trick. They are really nice. Your actually the 1st person IVE HEARD that has had the 02' problem. I have a aluminum block and it is a normal issue with them and LT's. Most people with with iron blocks dont ahve that problem-like I said your the first Ive seen and I really looked around. As far as the headers they are really nice and well worth the money!

I have not put mine on yet but they are a nice set of headers. I was a lil dis about them not being coated on the inside but for the extra 4-500 bucks These will work just fine now. Seems from what every one says they hold up well so we'll see

Same here, Im in PA and definetly want these headers... mainly for the price. But I am just wondering where I can get a Y-pipe -w- cats that I can just bolt right up to the headers.
any ideas?
