Default Anyone have the FMS FM13 cam?

226"/230" .575"/.595" 112LSA

Considering running this cam if I'm able to get this 2000 Chevy RCSB. Will have a 5.3 (for now), 3k stall, and possibly 4.11's.

don't know were you got your spec'd out numbers from but the F13 cam specs are...
230"/232" .595"/.585" 112LSA

that's way way way!!! too big for that 5.3
but hey you could be different from the proven performers out there.

I hope that wasn't meant to be demeaning. I was going to swap in the 6.0 later, and wanted to get a cam that was good for the 5.3 and the 6.0. I realize that it's a larger-than-average cam, but being a RCSB, i figured it would be okay. What else would you recommend? WHat would you suggest as the largest cam for a 5.3 with a 3k stall and 4.11's?

ok...

first off, what are you intentions with the truck... ie DD, street/strip, weekend, etc...
there was no mention about a 6.0 in the future.
your right it's a large cam for a 5.3, also for a 6.0 in a truck.
max would be a 224 with that size converter and 4.11's. should work good with both engines.

I've got one on a 114+4 LSA in my 383 LS1. I couldn't be happier! Awesome driveability and power everywhere. I wouldn't put it in a 5.3. I would with a 6.0 and LS6 intake to take advantage of the powerband. My truck intake is choking the hell out of mine past 5K rpm. I've got a vengence-ported 90mm FAST going on next week to top my motor off. Should pull hard to the 6300-6500 rpm range. Trust me, this cam has awesome power potential. There is a bunch of dyno graphs over on ls1tech that show the torque curve and it pulls hard and sounds awesome, even on the 114 LSA.

3k stall is way to small for most cams above 220!!!!!!!!!!!
