Anyone have the AIRAID intake?

any improvements with it... thinking of putting one on my 98GMC Z71... says it dynoed 14-18 hp pick ups

I've had mine since '99, I've moved it from a '99 5.3 to a '99 6.0, then over to a '02 8.1. I've never had it dyno'ed, but it's given a noticable SOTP increase on each truck. I'm very happy with it.
Looking now, I'd probbably get the K&N, as it comes with the tube to replace the stock ducting.

I just bolted a K&N cone filter on the end of my MAF & it seems to work pretty well also. Just a thought if you want a cheap route on the air intake

for those guys with electric fans. Would there be any gains from attaching your maf to your throttle body, and your throttle body to your k&n without the intake tube and have it sitting straight forward (assuming there would be enough room), or even getting a piece which would allow you to run two k&n's into a y and straight into the maf to the throttle body. I heard something like this at ls1.com and was wondring if there would be any gains from it...
even though i think having two k&ns up there would look pretty cool!

yah, i think it would look bad a$$, just dont know if there is any performance gains that could justify doing that... it could be easily done though, pvc pipe is the greatest thing on earth .
