On my 05 crewcab (clutch fan orig equipped) as long as I wasn't pulling a trialer the LS1 fans worked great. But once I got a heavy load on the truck, it was like the fans couldn't remove enough heat from the radiator, no matter what fan settings were used. I swapped the LS1 fans out for the 05 truck fans and haven't had a hint of the old problem yet.

As far as I understand, it's a direct drop in.

its a direct swap. you just have to get a fan harness that plugs into your pcm.
Nelson sells the harnesses as well as a couple of members on here that makes them>>>>>>>>>>>

When i got my first set of LT1 Efans they had sat up and the brushes were rusted.. but i didnt know..
They would keep it cool unless i idled for quite a while..

New LS1 motors and never had a problem after that, even towing a 7k# trailers on backroads with the TC unlocked and its 90* ambient
Temps never got over 210.

Now that i have the 34"rad and Efans, only time they come on high is when the AC is on.

I just put a 34" rad in my 04 yesterday, direct fit as was said. If you look at the rad support, there are bolt holes 3" outside the ones you currently use, and on the bottom there are holes outside the ones you are using now for the bigger rad. I am still using my ls1 fans on the 34 if it makes a difference.

I had LT1 fans on my old 03' and never once had any overheating issues. In fact they kept it quite cool all day, usually never saw over 180*.

I can't image why LS1 fans wouldn't keep AP2002 truck cool.
