Is anybody using one? Thinking about putting one on. Is it okay to put a breather on and a catch can?

Want to try and control my oil consumption.

 

Thunder Racing sells the Metco Motorsports breather that threads in where the oil filler cap goes. By far the best one you can get. It doesnt hurt to run one. Just keep her clean.

 

You dont need a catch can if you have a breather. Make sure to plug the intake line. Leave the stock hose in case you have to pass a visual inspection, you can put the pcv back in. Ive never understood any of these guys spending 100+ on a catch can doing fab work or even swapping different valley covers, when you can just put a breather on it for 20 bucks and call it a day no more oil consumption!! the diameter is 3/4"

So, if you run a breather you should plug the hoses coming from the valve covers on both sides or just the pass. side? You can only put a breather on one side.

 

screw it just put a filter on all of them and let it breathe.

 

I don't think the breather will do the job correctly. The breather just opens up the system so that air flow can't be measured by the computer. I think that the tune will maybe suffer if the system is just opened up.

 

Im not running a breather, just an AMW can.
