Believe it or not, I've read in a magazine article a while back, that the side mirrors actually do play a part in drag resistance. They were doing a thing on gas mileage and did see some "minimal" improvements. So, I would have to say that every little bit helps! Go with some small street scene mirrors or something. Maybe just have one on the drivers side, and remove the passenger one altogether. Plus, a bed cover would help, or atleast drop the tailgate.

Most of this has been covered I guess but you could of coarse lower the truck, lower the front air dam even more, cover up most of the grill, put on a light weight fiberglass hood, fold your mirrors back, put on a light weight bed cover, and put on the roll pan.
Then pull off all you dare to save on weight. the lighter the "brick" the easier it is to throw it. Making it lighter will also help it stop sooner which is a good thing at 140 mph.

the lightening up of the vehicle is always a plus, but dont waste your money on a fiberglass hood just to save weight. im on my second hood for my truck i originally wanted the ram air hood from good hood. it had first came out for the silveraldo and not the sierra and it took a year for it so i got the reflection steel cowl hood it was a tad heavier then stock. finally the good hood came out a year later and i got that in place of the steel cowl it was just as heavy as the stock if not heavier. they are steel reinforced braces. im not sure if they make it or not but try acarbon fiber one to save weight it would be the lightest but for the miniamal loss of weight isnt worth the cash.

oh yeah watch out how low u take the truck too for top speed. i was goofing off raceing a couple buddy sand we were doing well over 100 and i bottomed out on a bridge crossing on the highway and about scared the crap outta myself. it made all the warning lights come on at once on my dash. talking a scary feeling for a second there. then a couple months later i was crusing down a road doing about 40 and theey had scraped the road for a repavement job and a man hole cover was about 4 inches standing above the pavement i hit it with my trans crossmember and closed the exhaust cross pipe up immediatly making my warnig light for my whipple go buck wild. luckily i got it pulled over in time and all i blew was a hader gasket. so i got my buddy to fab a new trans bracket support up for me to sit flush with the frame so no more scraping for me

You all scare me! 100+ in a truck! Hope you have good control. Flash your lights when you are coming so I can get out of the way :-)

On my buddy's 99 gt, we have been 130-140 pretty easy with no sign of any govoner. That was on a auto as well.

I have a 1999 Tahoe 4x2, it's a former MI police cruiser...

I have gone 125mph bonestock in it. It's supposed to do 128mph stock but I didn't tuck the mirrors and the truck was so sloppy and bouncy that my ballz shrunk. I did beat the 740il though.

I'm sure with a bigger gear (I have 3.08) and an airbox and a new fuel filter I can hit 130mph.
