Default Anybody thought about the LS4?

Just wondering, I was browsing the internet earlier, and I know a lot of folks on here have been talking recently about intake manifolds and such. Well I saw pics of the new Monte Carlo SS with the FWD LS4 5.3 motor. It looks to have an LS1/LS6 based intake manifold on it. I was just wondering if anyone here had done any researching into the parts available from the LS4 and what if anything would be compatible, or an upgrade rather to what is available on the stock LM7 or L33. Just a thought, might not be anything worth doing the swaps or testing, but who knows?

Any specs on the LS4??????

From what I've read, it's slightly shorter (from trans to pullies) than the other LSx gen III and IV engines. Note sure of the cylinder/port spacing, but my guess would be that it's not going to be something we can use. I'll gladly be wrong though!

By looking at this pic:

It dosnt look like a high rise intake like the trucks but more along the lines of the LS1/6 intake. It does look to use the short MultecII injectors though.

Yes it is, Remember this goes in a front wheel drive car. Everything is all bass-akwards, it would need some attention before it could be just droped in.
